Sign-Tronic Showcased Printers And Cutters While Hosting A Special Guest At FESPA Africa And Sign Africa Expo

Sign-Tronic showcased printing and cutting solutions at the recently held FESPA Africa And Sign Africa Expo, which ran during September at the Gallagher Convention Centre.

At the stand, visitors could see innovations designed for the signage industry, such as various swissQprint machines, including the Karibu and Nyala 4 models.

The Karibu large format printer incorporates the result of 20 years’ development experience in UV inkjet printing, made better still by innovative technical solutions. Karibu users have a clear competitive edge with unique roll to roll printer features powered by output software, as well as cool LED technology and a specially developed ink set. Neon yellow and neon pink give printed materials a sensational look. Karibu can enhance roll media by means of effect varnish.

The Karibu was demonstrated using a unique ink solution printing with CMYK and Rhintotuff inline coating, which is used for truck curtains and flexible hardwearing flooring. The stand’s flooring was printed with this solution.

The Nyala 4 features state-of-the-art print heads capable of resolutions up to 1350dpi. This, combined with swissQprint’s trademark high-precision droplet placement, opens new horizons in output quality. Users get Swiss reliability with low ink costs.

The Zünd G3 2XL-1600 cutter was also on display. The Zünd G3 flatbed cutter is extremely flexible thanks to a modular cutter concept. The G3 construction and design are tailored to the needs of its customers. Simple, user-friendly and ergonomic operations are the result. The intelligent safety features of the G3 actively support the operator and interfere only when absolutely necessary.

ColorFlow Solutions’ workflow automation, in combination with Sign-Tronic’s printers and cutters, were used to create ‘Mini-Me’ replicas of expo visitors.

There were also ColoRate sublimation solutions, in 1.9m and 3.2m versions, as well Monti Antonio heat presses in roll-to-roll and flatbed formats.

Visitors could also meet special guest Kingsley Holgate, a humanitarian adventurer, explorer, researcher, author and TV personality. A ‘fireside’ chat was hosted during the expo, where Holgate discussed his endeavours to save the environment as well as his adventures and expeditions.
