According to Mordor Intelligence, ‘The laser marking market size is estimated at USD 3.91 billion in 2024, and is expected to reach USD 5.18 billion by 2029, growing at a CAGR of 5.80% during the forecast period (2024-2029).’
Material preparation and the correct choice of materials is important. There are diverse wood types, for example, and Trotec states that ‘laser users need to consider (the wood’s) various characteristics such as density and resin content during processing’ to produce suitable products’.
Trotec has also emphasised the importance of choosing the right optics, having compressed air, and a suitable exhaust system, to name a few, ‘Using the correct exhaust power in laser engraving is essential for achieving optimal results, maintaining a safe working environment and ensuring the longevity of equipment. It also helps adhere to regulations and standards related to environmental and occupational safety.’
